MT ALBERT - 2 Lawns

The Mt Albert club invites prospective players to join them and learn to play. It is a club that plays socially; for fun, fitness, relaxation and enjoyment of each others company and the game. The focus is skill building in a relaxed atmosphere that caters for all ages and abilities.

Some members play competitively and the club regularly enters small teams into various competitions hosted by other clubs in the greater Auckland region.

Open Days are held regularly on the first Sunday of each month for members of the public who wish to come along and play a game or two with no obligation to join.

Coaching for beginners: Are you interested in giving croquet a go but not sure if it’s for you? As part of the ‘give it a go’ period, we offer two free coaching sessions that takes you through the basics of croquet and teach you core skills so that you can be confident when playing with our club members. The coaching will also help you decide whether croquet is for you and offers the opportunity to meet new people and to learn skills to play a game that is both challenging and fun.

MACC Club Hire for Social Events

Xmas, Birthdays, Pre Wedding, Stag Functions any occasion you would like to celebrate

The club house and grounds are available for hire to small to medium sized groups wanting to have a fun day or evening of croquet to incorporate into their corporate or social club events, any of the above or a good old fashioned ‘Lawn Picnic’.

Club members will show your guests how to play and get a competitive and fun spirit underway in a very short time!

We have a permanent Pergola to keep the sun off, which makes a nice focal point for the socialising, and a BBQ available if you need it. We provide folding 'event' chairs and trestle tables. You are also welcome to use the clubhouse, tea and coffee included. However its BYO drinks and food, or get caterer's in. Bring your ice and chilli bins.

We can have 4 games running simultaneously. Players play in pairs. Therefore we can have 16 people playing at once. We suggest an upper limit on group sizes of 25-30 persons so that those watching can quickly move into their next game.

We charge $20 per person.
