North Shore - 4 Lawns

The North Shore Croquet Club is situated at 1 Wairoa Road, Devonport, just along from the Waitemata Golf Club, and next door to the Plunket Rooms. The grounds are surrounded by picturesque turn-of-the-century wooden villas, a truly lovely location. There are four full-sized lawns and the clubrooms have had a rich and varied life and are primarily used by club members but are also available for hire.

 

Croquet offers both physical and mental exercise, companionship, is gender non-specific, can be casual or challenging (you choose), and suits all ages. Several forms of the game are played but all essentially involve a race using a mallet to get your ball through a number of hoops before your opponent does.
